Technical Reports/Grey Literature

Generic:

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of work (Report No. xxxx if available) [Description of Form]. Retrieved from Agency Name website: http://xxxxxx

Items of note:

  • If the organization that issued the report assigned some sort of report number, include that number in parenthesis directly after the title.
  • The description of form should be included when it will assist the reader in understanding what the source is. There is no pre-defined set of words or formats to use. Some examples might include: brochure, press release, or fact sheet.
  • If the publisher is the author, use the format Retrieved from: http://www.xxxxxx  for the website. If this is not the case, identify the publisher in the retrieval statement as shown in the generic format above.

Example:

Fitzpatrick, J. L. (2013). Using CAM modalities in anxiety treatment [Fact Sheet]. Retrieved from CAM Modalities website: http://www.thisisawebsite.org.
