When considering what to record for your results, the PRISMA Diagram provides a list of items to consider.
- Study characteristics: for each study,, provide characteristics for which data was extracted -- study size, PICOS, follow-up period etc., as well as their accompanying citations
- Study selection: provide the number of studies screened, assessed for eligibility, and, ultimately included in the review. Be sure to include reasons for any exclusions at each stage -- this can be done with the PRISMA Diagram
- Risk of bias within studies: present data on risk of bias of each study and any outcome level assessment, if available
- Risk of bias across studies: present results of any assessment of risk of bias across included studies
- Results of individual studies: include all outcomes considered and present for each study. Include a simple summary data for each featured intervention group, effect estimates, and confidence intervals
- Synthesis of results: present results of any meta-analysis performed, including confidence intervals and measures of consistency
- Additional analysis: provide results of any additional analyses -- sensitivity or subgroup analyses, meta-regression etc
Alongside these items, consider the information that is relevant to your project.
