Review Types

This guide will help you get started with determining which type of review is right for you and your research project.

Outline of Strategies

Timeframe: <12 months or less. Timeframe can be impacted by factors such as available resources, quantity and quality of the literature, and expertise of the reviewers.

Question: Can be broad or narrow. Should include an intervention and comparison group.

Research Protocol: Not required but highly recommended. It will help clarify and define the objectives and detail the methods involved. 

Search: Tends to focus on identifying and retrieving the highest level fo evidence of published or unpublished Systematic Reviews or Meta-analyses. May or may not include comprehensive searching depending on whether it is a systematic process or not.

PRISMA Diagram: A PRISMA Diagram should be included in the final draft.

Selection: Based upon clear inclusion/exclusion criteria. Outcome measures
