QU CARE -- The Community, Assessment, Response and Evaluation TeamAs members of the QU community, we are responsible for identifying & assisting students who exhibit behavior that threatens the well-being or safety of themselves or the community. Referrals can be submitted by anyone.
Referrals could be for helping a student during difficult times such as the passing of a loved one; when a student needs support for their physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, financial health; and/or when experiencing social challenges with roommates, friends, and/or peers.
What can I expect after making a referral?
Once a referral is received, the CARE Team will determine strategies for addressing the concern if needed. You (or other individuals) may be contacted by a CARE Team member for additional information in order to determine the most suitable course of action. However, intervention plans or support strategies may not be shared with you unless deemed appropriate by the CARE Team.
Can I talk to someone about a referral that I submitted?
Yes! You are welcome to contact the Chair of CARE to follow-up on a referral that you submitted. Please be mindful that we may not be able to share all the case details with you, due to determined educational need to know.
