Book a Librarian: Research Consultations

Why Should You Book a Librarian?

A librarian will provide individualized support to help you develop effective research strategies and identify appropriate resources. We will provide instruction in topic development, research strategies, source evaluation, and access to resources and tools to assist in citation management. By the end of the consultation, you'll have the tools and confidence to continue your research independently.

Please Note:

  • Appointments can last up to 45 minutes.
  • Appointments must be made in advance.
  • The default librarian choice is “no preference.” This allows you to meet with the librarian whose availability matches yours.
  • Consider scheduling your appointment with the appropriate subject liaison librarian.
    • To find your subject liaison librarian, please click the information icon next to the librarian’s name to learn more about what subject area they specialize in.
  • If you need to cancel, let us know. Your confirmation email will include a link for canceling.
  • If you cannot find a time that works for you, please call the Research Help Desk at 203-582-8633, email us at Refdesk@quinnipiac.edu, or reach out to your subject liaison librarian to arrange a time that works best for you.
    • Understand that the Research Help Desk is staffed by a librarian who is available if a student cannot get a meeting but has an immediate need.
    • You can find more information about the Research Help Desk through the link on the left.
