New OneSearch Frequently Asked Questions: Creating an Account and Logging-in

Do I need to Log-in?

Creating an account is highly recommended. Creating an account with the library's third-party vendor, EBSCO, will enable advanced user features that enhance both the searching processes and the overall user experience, including:

  • Bookmark and save sources to revisit at a later time
  • Save successful search strategies and track keyword, Boolean, and filtered searches for later use
  • Create alerts based on your saved searches when new sources meet your search criteria
  • Create alerts to be notified of newly published articles in journals of your choice

Creating and using an individual account empowers library patrons to become more active in their library experience beyond searching the collection for information. Some features include:

  • Viewing and renewing checked-out items and previously borrowed items
  • Viewing and managing fines and account blocks
  • Requesting that print materials be held for pick-up at the circulation desk
  • Requesting sources housed off campus in library storage

Please see the Ebsco Privacy Policy for information about how data in your account is protected.
