SEARCH ANNUAL REVIEW OF PSYCHOLOGY USING THE ANNUAL REVIEWS WEBSITE ***Other Annual Review titles can be searched the same way

Please follow these instructions:

  • From the Library homepage click on Journal Finder
  • Enter the title of the publication, Annual Review of Psychology (or other Annual Review title)
  • The following entry will appear (here only showing the AR website link)

  • Click on the Annual Reviews website link and the homepage for the publication opens
  • Search option is in the top right corner and enter keyword(s)
  • Note that you are searching only this annual review since it shows This Journal to the left of the search box 
  • When results appear they are organized by relevance not date
  • In the Refine Search area above the results, limit the Publication Date to a Custom range by entering 2018 to 2023
  • Click on Preview or Abstract to read the summary of an article
  • Click on the PDF link and the article will open

 

***The above instructions also work for the Annual Review of Clinical Psychology,  Annual Review of Developmental Psychology, Annual Review of Neuroscience, and Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior.

Using PsycINFO for Annual Review of Psychology, Annual Review of Clinical Psychology, Annual Review of Developmental Psychology, Annual Review of Neuroscience, and  Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organization

The Annual Review of Psychology is one of the many journals in the PsycINFO database.  One can limit a search to a particular publication and then search it by topic.

 

  • The title "Annual Review of Psychology" is in quotation marks and the drop down menu to the right (Select a Field) needs to show SO Publication Name
  • The keyword topic is entered in the second line

 

  •  Limit to appropriate date coverage - 2018-2024         

            

Using PsycINFO for Additional Review Articles from Other Journals

 There are times when a topic does not have a recent article in the  Annual Review of Psychology or other Annual Reviews .  At this point, search PsycINFO but limt the results to a literature review in the Methodology field.  There are a couple of other limits to set as well and they are shown below.

  • Enter search term(s)

 

 

  • Always check off "Limit to Peer Reviewed"
  • Enter appropriate date coverage -  2018-2024
  • Limit to English language
  • Limit Methodology to Literature Review
