Information Literacy and Library Instruction

ABL librarians will work with faculty to educate students on how to conduct research and identify appropriate resources. Information retrieval, evaluation and use are very complex processes and are becoming more so every day. Instruction sessions are geared to an individual faculty member's particular course requirements and available for all disciplines and levels. The librarians are eager to help make your students' research process more manageable and understandable.

Contact Matthew Flaherty, Outreach and Instruction Librarian, if you would like to work with a librarian to schedule an instruction session for your students.

Creation of Research Guides

The librarians provide Research Guides for Quinnipiac students and faculty. Traditional subjects such as Biology, Business, English, History, and Sociology are represented. We can create one for you! Informational-type guides include topics such as Copyright, Off-Campus Access to Library Resources and Using RefWorks.

This online system allows librarians to create useful content and connect your students with the library resources you want them to use. The flexible web-based platform allows ABL librarians to build custom subject guides targeted to a course of study or an individual class.

Contact a Reference Librarian if you would like us to build a guide for you.
